Sister Tonya Walker was born April 19, 1970 to the union of Wilma and James Walker in Chicago, Illinois.

Jesus had a special place in Tonya's life. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of St. Titus One Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago, Illinois where she was a dedicated member of the choir. Tonya only missed service and rehearsals when her health began to fail her.

Tonya attended Davis school in Chicago, Illinois from the age of three (3) to six (6). She attended Turner Drew, Garrett A. Morgan Elementary schools and South Side Learning Center where she graduated.

Tonya achieved many accomplishments and overcame challenges that many (including doctors) said were impossible. She was successful in learning how to walk, talk, write and eventually sing. Tonya did not allow her speech impediment prevent her from singing and praising God.

Tonya began working at Aztlan Community Institute at the age of 18. There is where she met the love of her life} Howard Little. In 2010 she left Aztlan and began working at Sertoma Centre, Inc. in Alsip, Illinois.

Tonya loved the outdoors; she enjoyed walking, skating and riding her bike. She was an avid traveler; often traveling from the east coast to the west coast.

On Saturday, August 6, 2011, Tonya went home to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her father, James Walker and aunt, Marjorie Ann.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother Wilma Walker; four sisters, Lisa Walker of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jacqueline Jones-Sanders (Dwayne) of Chicago, Illinois, Phyliss Walker of Indianapolis, Indiana and Yolanda Walker (Grover) of Chicago} Illinois; four brothers, Kenny Walker (Muriel) of Honolulu, Hawaii, Kevin Walker (Camille) Of Chicago, Illinois and Phillip Walker of Atlanta, Georgia; love of her life, Howard Little; aunts, Felicia Hardy of Chicago, Illinois, Ruby Jean Wiggins of Jackson, Mississippi, Gloria Gardner of Jackson, Mississippi, Sharon (Liza) Bradley 01 Tutwiler, Mississippi; uncles, Carol Gardner of Millington, Tennessee, Willie "Steve Bradley, Jr. of Madison, Mississippi and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
