Dorothy Lee (Staples) Corbert was born on May 28, 1943 in Drew, Mississippi to odell and Okie Elizabeth Burnett.

Dorothy married and later divorced Henry Corbert of Oak Park, Illinois. Their union was blessed with five children.

Dorothy departed this life on February 11, 2012. She was preceded in death by both parents, Odell and Okie Elizbeth Birnett; and sisters, Gladys Staples and Verine Burnett, both of Drew, Mississippi.

Dorothy leaves to chersih; sons, Donald Corbert and Thaddeus Corbert, both of Oak park. Illinois; daughters, Elizbeth Corbert of chicago, Illinois, Camille Corbert of Hillside, Illinois and Felicia (David) Lucre of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; sisters, Delois, Mississippi, Flora Burnett of Drew, Mississippi, Genell (James) Hogan of Kentudky, Linda (Alfred) Grimm of Drew, Mississippi, Bobbie (Otha) O'Neal of Drew, Mississippi; brother, Odis Burnett of Drew, Mississippi; seven aunts, fifteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
