U.S. Veteran

Cameron Dion Cook was born December 5, 1961 to L. C. and Maxine (deceased) Cook in Rantoul, Illinois.

At the age of five, he was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chicago, IL and one day while at Vacation Bible School his teacher told him to go home and get "pretty" for graduation. Instead of waiting for the school bus, Cameron walked home, traveling approximately one mile and crossing major roadways just so he would be jazzed up for graduation.

In 1979, Cameron graduated from Luther South High School and a year later, he joined the United States Air Force where he served four years before his honorable discharge However, Cameron's employment with the Federal Government did not stop there, as he became an employee for the United States Postal Service. He worked there until the Lord called him home.

On Tuesday, May 29, 2012, Cameron went home to be with the Lord as the angels beckoned him in his sleep. Prior to his departure from his earthly body, Cameron loved reading, watching movies, traveling and drawing.

His memory will be cherished by his father - L. C.; step¬mother - Dorothy Cook; brother - Kendall (Champaign, IL); sister - Lorri (Alsip, IL); step brother - Laurence Johnson (Chicago, IL .... ; step sister - Kimberly Abogunrin (South Holland, IL); special aunt - Kathryn Richardson; special cousin Rashawnda; and a host of relatives and friends.
