Constance Lucille Tate, affectionately known by family and friends as "Connie", was born September 4, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois, to Barbara and Elwood Smith. She was the second oldest of five Children.

Connie confessed Christ at an early age. She received her education from the Chicago public school. She attended Fisk Elementary school and Martin Luther King High School. She later attended Job Corp where she majored in Latin Language, and became fluent with speaking Latin.

Connie worked many jobs during her walk on earth. She worked at Marquette Bank, the Chicago Police Department and at Supreme Life Insurance. Connie than became a proud mother of five beautiful children that she loved very much.

A time for peace……

Connie departed her life on May 26, 2012 at 7:05 a.m. Her loving Father Elwood Smith preceded her in death as well as her loving grandparents; James and Violetta Washington.
