Jesse Jones was born May 12, 1940 to the late Robert Todd and Augusta Jones.

Jesse accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Linden, AL. He later joined Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Markham, IL, where he worked up until the time of his illness.

Jesse was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed going fishing with his best friend Rick Windschiegl and family.

Jesse made his transition home on May 25, 2012.

Preceding him in death was his son, Stanley; six brothers: Earl, Will Jr., Robert Earl, Marzell, Claude, Earl "Mack" Bruno and Edward Todd; three sisters: Jonnie Mae Williams, Betty Todd and Sherry Todd.

Jesse leaves to cherish in his fond memories, his son, Marcus (Lena) Berry; two daughters: Ann and Tasha Berry; six grandchildren, Lennell Jr., Terrell, Shannell, Kiere, Kailyn and Shania; four brothers: Hezekiah Jones Jr. of Linden, AL, Robert (Lizzie) Todd Jr. of Mobile, AL, Hunter (Shirley) Todd of Montgomery, AL, and Burrandes Todd of Clanton, AL; five sisters: Rebecca Jones of Los Angeles, CA, Alice (Randolph) Malloy of Hazel Crest, IL, Barbara J. Sanders of Linden, AL, Debra Todd Walker of Clanton, AL and Belinda (Raymond) Davidson of Clanton, AL and a host of relatives and friends.
