Dirk Dawayne Lane Was born August 21, 1972 in Helena AR. raised in Chicago, IL. He enjoyed life to the very fullest until his calling home May 9, 2012.

Dirk Confessed in Christ at an early age. He attended Englewood High School where he received his diploma and met many lifelong friends.

Dirk was the kind of person that lit up a room with his smile and jokes. He always kept a sense of humor despite whatever he was going through.

Dirk enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Video games were his favorites second only to shopping for shoes and playing bones with friends.

Dirk's father Lawerence Mitchell preceded him in death.

Dirk leaves to cherish his memories, mother Rosemary Lane Holloway (Allen), grandmother Dorothy Lane, one daughter Anighya Winters, two brothers, Gregory and Jesse Lane of Chicago, IL. one stepbrother Anthony Pearson, two sisters Katrice Lane(Charles), Marshalett Lester (Richard) of Sherwood, AR. two half sisters Shenetta (George), Patricia(Curley), Allena, and Dion all of Chicago, IL. and a special person Temeka Smith, five uncles, five aunts, three nieces, ten nephews and a host of cousins, family and friends.
