Delores was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 30, 1936. She was the oldest of nine Children to Frank and Flora White.

Delores attended Douglas Elementary School and Wendell Phillips High School.

Delores confessed and expressed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. She was a proud member of Pilgrim Baptist Church as a sun beam and during her young adult life to the late Rev. J. C. Austin Sr. and the late Rev. JC Austin Jr. After the birth of her son, she became a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. There she served to Father George Clements and volunteered during her son's education at Holy Angels School. During her later years she became a proud member of South Park Baptist Church, as an Usher Member of Usher Board #2, and Intermediate Sunday School (Sis Klyes) as well.

Delores worked for three decades at CPS-Abbott Elementary School until retirement.

Delores enjoyed raising her son (Lovell), attending Sunday School at her Church, South Park Baptist Church, eating Sunday dinners with her beloved sister Flora, taking trips, and reading the Bible with her sister (Flora). She enjoyed helping her grandchildren, great-grands, and grand niece Tiffany and children in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Delores believes in the Resurrection of Hope (John 5:28-29) and she is looking forward to experience the fullfillness of Revelation 21: 3-5

Delores was preceded in death by her late mother: Flora, Father: Frank, and Brother: Joseph.

Delores leaves to cherish her memories and love of Christ: Her Son - Lovell (Juquan) Deborah White, Little Lovell, Shontell, Shorell); beloved sister - Flora; brothers - William and John; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; beloved grand niece Tiffany; beloved nephews - Harry and Michael (Evelyn); and abundance of other relatives and friends.

Psalm 122:1 I was glad when they said unto me, let us go unto the house of the Lord.

St. John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled; yea believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; and that where I am there ye may be also.

As Delores looked over a well spent life, night fell and she prayed that God would help her sister (Flora) and love ones to understand that she loved them, but she was tired and ready to go home.

At1:00 pm, May 7, 2012, Delores went to the bank of the Jordan River and Boarded the old ship of Zion that took her home. She looked up and saw waiting on the docks complete peace, love, joy and happiness. "My God,” she signed.
