Mauurece Lenore Harden was born to Franklin and Mary Harden on December 4, 1962 in Chicago, IL. She was the fourth of seven children. Four brothers: Franklin Harden Jr., Gregory Harden, Wayne Harden Sr., and one brother Edward Shannon (who preceded her in death; two sisters: Sharon Harden, and Carrie Shannon.

Maurece accepted Christ at an early age. Maurece attended Harper High School in Chicago, Illinois.

Maurece was employed at Stewart Home School, where she enjoyed and loved her students. Maurece loved many things, she enjoyed music and singing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Those who knew her appreciated her generosity and kind heart. If you showed love, she returned it back. She treasured pictures of all her loved ones. Her family and friends meant the most to her.
