A t A.A. Rayner & Sons, we have always strived to provide funeral services within the financial resources of our families. Our funeral directors are instructed to work with the families to make arrangements that the individual family making the funeral arrangements can afford. It is company policy to never sell a family a funeral that they cannot afford.

Our commitment is to exceptional service. And that means service to all families. In fact, we are one of the few funeral homes that continue to provide services to Public Aid recipients. In effect, we underwrite the costs of these funerals because the amount paid by the State of Illinois is much less than the actual cost to the company to provide such a funeral. We also honor American Funeral Plan prearranged funeral contracts, even though American Funeral Plan dissolved with no financial resources. We have honored the full face value of the contracts despite the fact that there is an out-of-pocket cost to us that is not covered by insurance. But in the interest of fairness, it is important to us to honor all American Funeral Plan contracts involving its customers.
